My Plans For District 14
Mekita Jacqueline Coe did work as an environmentalist Curriculum Developer with The Prospect Park based Center for The Urban Environment in Park Slope Brooklyn then as an educator for the NY State Agency for Children and Family Services, bridging similar interest to create curriculum at The Brooklyn Children’s Museum and then to teach High School English and General Education with the New York City Department of Education briefly under the NYC Schools Chancellor Joel Klien. Being elected by her neighbors to represent them in The New York City Council MJC served as the Chairman of The Community Education Council of during the Mayor Michael Bloomberg Administration in the after math of September 11th Terrorist Attacks.
Prominently Complete with Family Styled Dinning Experiences as well as Dinning experiences for single young adults looking for a date night near home that is well lit and safe to patronize is a focus of this Senator.
Introduction of a mini-Broadway
in District 14 where playhouses present the views of the residents as well as a Museum Mile within Queens NY Senate District 14.
Introduce a Street light initiative in District 14 in partnership with local property owners inviting property owners to participate in the opportunity to add lighted walkways to the exterior of their properties making the district a better lit and safer environment for the people who walk to and for to work and home and to play.
Added to the lights on Queens; hundreds of Block Associations will be encouraged to create by laws for their immediate homebases including Home Owner’s Associations which will have an invaluable voice in the uses of properties purchased by developers and private buyers.
This initiative will clean up our existing parks within our local district and will repair our existing swimming pools make them safer cleaner and brighter and more attractive for use and reintroduce swimming pools into areas where such recreation has been removed in the past.
